Designed for individuals who require enhanced first aid knowledge and practical skills to respond to medical emergencies and workplace injuries. Building on foundational first aid principles, participants will learn how to conduct detailed patient assessments, provide advanced interventions, monitor patient conditions, and manage emergency situations until transfer of care is available.

The program meets the requirements of CSA Standard Z1210 for Advanced First Aid and is suitable for workers in high-risk environments, occupational health and safety personnel, emergency response teams, and individuals pursuing careers in emergency services, law enforcement, firefighting, and other public safety professions.

Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on skills practice, and realistic emergency scenarios, participants will develop the confidence and competence needed to provide effective care in the workplace and community. Topics include patient assessment, airway and breathing emergencies, circulatory emergencies, trauma management, medical emergencies, spinal motion restriction, oxygen administration, and patient transportation considerations.

Successful completion of this course provides certification in Advanced First Aid and can help satisfy employment, workplace safety, or post-secondary program entry requirements where advanced first aid training is required.
