Hey guys! I am a trained Emergency Medical Technician and have acted as a first responder on numerous medical and traumatic emergencies. I've also worked for years as both a structural + forestry firefighter. I take pride in helping participants feel more confident taking action during an emergency and appreciate how important bystander First Aid education really is. I hope that after you take one of our courses, you feel as though it was a day well spent! My goal is to provide interactive training that is relevant to your day to day and applicable to your interests or workplace.

Hi there! I’m a Registered Nurse with a background in Cardiac ICU. I work at The Children's Hospital in both the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Some of my favorite things are goldendoodles, salty snacks, and bad puns! I am a true nerd at heart, but I love being able to teach our courses in a way that is enjoyable and applicable. I consider it an absolute privilege to be able to play a part in educating the community with valuable First Aid and CPR skills needed to respond to real life situations. My only hope is that you laugh at my jokes as hard as I do.

Hi! I'm Melissa, a local Cochrane mom to three wonderful kids ages 5, 8 and 12. My hobbies include driving them to their sports, hiking, biking and camping. I have been a Red Cross instructor for over 10 years. I love teaching kids how to be safe home alone and babysitters how to care for young children. I believe First Aid is a great life skill that everyone should have!

Hello! I love to connect with community and teaching is one of those ways. I'm a fully certified Red Cross First Aid and CPR, Babysitting and Stay Safe instructor and am currently completing my Psychological First Aid Instructor designation. I have worked in the non-profit field for approximately 25 years and when I am not working to support an incredible local non-profit organization you can find me volunteering at events in the community. I am an active Board Member on two organizations here in Cochrane and will often share my experiences as a member of local non-profits in the courses I teach.
