Hello! I'm the voice on the other side of your emails and phone calls. I am a mom of three young kids who try their best to stay quiet when mom is answering work calls. I am a Registered Nurse at the Alberta Children's Hospital working part time in both the Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU. My passion for health and safety training branches deeply into our work at CETS. I am thrilled to be offering FREE Child and Infant Health and CPR/Choking workshops to our community every month at CETS. I have seen firsthand how important rapid response time is when dealing with emergencies at home with loved ones and feel it is essential that everyone have access to learning these skills. You may also catch me in the classroom teaching BLS, ACLS and PALS! We hope to have you register with us!

CETS Instructor
Kim
Hi! I have called Cochrane home for 25 years. I was an EMT and then became a Registered Nurse working most of my 20 plus years in Intensive Care and Coronary Care. I am a Red Cross First Aid & CPR, Babysitting and Stay Safe instructor and am currently completing my Psychological First Aid Instructors. I am also a Heart and Stoke BLS instructor. I am a mom of two beautiful daughters age 22 & 20 that are following in my footsteps and becoming RN’s. I enjoy spending time with my family, getting out hiking and spending time on our boat. I think it is important for people to take First Aid and the best part of teaching is helping them understand how to help others in emergency situations, passing on my knowledge and experience to people in my classes.

Jessica
Jess is a Registered Nurse, BLS instructor with Heart and Stroke, and the co-founder of Flourish Maternity. With a passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, she combines clinical knowledge with a compassionate, real-life approach to education. Her passion for health and safety has grown extensively since becoming a parent and experiencing that life doesn't always follow policy and procedure. She loves to critically think with her class about real life scenarios and ensure people leave feeling empowered and educated.

CETS Instructor
Danielle
Danielle moved to the beautiful foothills country southwest of Calgary in 1992, where she raised her three children and became deeply involved in her community. One of those volunteer commitments led her to join the local volunteer fire department in 1995, which sparked her passion for emergency medical care.
She first completed First Aid and EMR training to become a better firefighter, then began working as an EMT in 2001 and later as a Paramedic in 2004. After 23 years of ambulance work, Danielle retired in May 2024.
Alongside her EMS career, Danielle has been teaching first aid for over 20 years. She believes first aiders play a critical role, often saying that paramedics can’t do their job if someone doesn’t step up and provide care first.
Today, Danielle continues to enjoy life in the foothills, spending time with family and friends, hiking, reading, and continuing to teach first aid.

Instructor of Mental Health First Aid
Ashley
Hello! I've been facilitating Mental Health First Aid in a variety of formats since 2016. I have a wealth of experience facilitating sessions for individuals who work with youth or adult populations within vulnerable sectors. I have also worked with industries who deal with hidden stressors such as shift work, customer service, safety and politicized public condemnation. With both lived and professional experience navigating mental health, I have and will continue to advocate for both those living with mental health and their support systems. I am passionate about this, not only to reduce the stigma associated with mental health problems/diagnosis, but to provide further education to individuals, and provide them with the skills and tools needed to navigate mental health problems or crisis situations. All while reiterating the importance of caring for ourselves like we do others in practicing self-care.
