In order to meet the workplace first aid legislation for the Province of BC, WorkSafe BC will accept the credentials of participants certified in other Canadian provinces and territories. The out of jurisdiction certificate bridges your valid/non expired Red Cross First Aid certification with the workplace health and safety requirements of British Columbia. The out of jurisdiction certificate acts as an OFA Level 1 equivalency is the Standard/Intermediate or Emergency/Basic First Aid with CPR/AED Level C
The BC Certificate will be linked to your current, not expired, first aid certificate. The expiry date of both certificates will be the same.
